ACM ICPC East Central Programing Contest

Nov 9, Youngstown, OH

Congratulations to Suraj Acharya, Leslie Osei-Anane, Hiruy Worku for representing Wooster exceptionally well at the ICPC East Central Programing Contest. April 7-9, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Two groups of students presented their joint work at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR 2025). Laura and Akhmad presented "Can Gen AI Tools and Basic Prompting Training Enable Non-STEM Students to Complete Field-Specific Coding Tasks?". Habiba, Tasin, and Faiaz presented "Sentiment Analysis in Software Engineering: Evaluating Generative Pre-trained Transformers". Denison University 32nd Programming Contest

February 19, Denison University, Granville, Ohio

Our two programming teams represented Wooster well at the 32nd Denison Spring Programming Contest. Out of 29 teams from Oberlin, Wittenberg, Denison, OWU, Kenyon, and Wooster, they came in 9th and 14th place. Patrick May, Eltahir Elawad, and Taemour Zaidi (left to right) formed Wooster Fighting Squirrels and solved five of eight problems. Next, Huy Kieu and Kien Le (left to right) formed Wooster Callback Cats and solved six of eight problems.
